With Daizan
Hi there, I'm James.
I started meditation and mindfulness training over 10 years ago. I started to learn qigong, meditation and yoga locally and then pursued training further afield to improve and feel better within myself.
I wanted to take it more seriously so I decided I wanted to learn from someone genuine from an authentic lineage. By chance a friend mentioned Zenways and the main teacher there. I looked it up and decided to learn from the founder of Zenways, Daizan. He is a genuine monk who lived and breathed the monastery life for decades in Japan. The training become invaluable and helped me become a more grounded happier person. I learnt yoga from him at an intensive 200hour course and 200hrs of mindfulness and meditation work under him.

From here, I have worked with vulnerable adults, teaching them the gift of meditation and yoga. Along with working with charities that help inner-city youth to find direction and purpose and working with refugees to find peace amongst the trauma of war. More recently I had worked in a PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) ward for mental health patients to help them improve their mental health and recovery. The practices of meditation and yoga absolutely helped each individual find some peace and clarity of purpose.
